This is America

Hey everyone, it's Becky again. Having moved from London to DC last Monday and spending the last week in Oklahoma City, I was quickly reminded of all of the differences between the UK and the US. Today, for some reason, I have spent the day thinking about various things that make me happy and I came to realize that a lot of these things (perhaps spurred on by my surroundings) are uniquely American. I thought I would share a few and hopefully encourage everyone to take a few minutes of your day to think about what makes you happy about our great nation.

1. Target.

So simple, yet so great. Especially their cheap, durable, functional work out line. I bought these on Saturday and they are awesome and amazingly soft.

2. Taylor Swift.

If you haven't watched the music video for this song yet, I highly recommend it.

3. July 4th.

Fireworks, red white and blue themed food and drinks, warm weather, a day off to spend with family and friends, what's not to like?

4. Baseball.

Especially going to baseball games. Beer, hot dogs, and a couple hours of strikes, outs, errors, homers and double plays. There is nothing better on a hot summer night than a baseball game.

Any other suggestions? Leave them in the comments :)
