It is official. The blog needs to come back. We took some time away from each other; perhaps we have grown a little in different directions; maybe we just needed a break. Maybe we needed to miss each other a little.
Well, blog - its time to get back together. In one short week, two of my favorite friends and coworkers will be departing the country on a business trip for almost a month. This distresses me for several reasons. First, they accept and embrace my weird awkwardness. And I appreciate that. Second, they assist in my life shenanigans. They are then at work the following day to recap shenans or to just have a good shoot the sally session. And most importantly, they get me through the work day. Why else am I distressed? During this time I will be turning 27. I'm not horribly upset about this really but I am definitely not happy. Not happy at all.
So the blog and I must reunite. I'm going to have to share my stories and silly tidbits with the blog since the office across from me will be dark and empty and sad for such a long long time. Not that I'm sad or anything.

Oh heavens...
...it has been a while since my last post. My apologies for such delinquency. So to kick off new blogging I will start with my two current shenanigan jams.

musicromping: King Charles
We saw King Charles opening for Mumford & Sons and I fell in love. He is pretty wonderful. His music, his outfit, his dreadlocks.

Top 40, sweet cheeks.
I know all of my recent posts have included music but I can't resist posting these clips from this week's Glee episode. I can't stop watching/listening to them. I usually find Gwyneth Paltrow to be a bit dull but she really changed that with her performance in this episode.

Hello again.
Once again, I've been a bit bad about posting. I've been a little distracted and emo about the lack of direction my life is taking (I mean, sort of emo. I really lack a desire to have real life direction). A chat with my mom last weekend included her asking me when I'm going to get a career. "Jobs are over-rated. I'm going to marry rich." To which she responded with something along the lines of "Well, I don't really see you working towards that." While we both knew I was joking, touche, Phyllis. Way to kick me when I'm down.
So I made the spur of the moment decision to jet off to NYC for less than 24 hours to see Mumford & Sons play at Terminal 5 with Elise.
How was the concert, you ask? Amazing. I might venture to say the best concert I've seen. The openers, the energy, the order they played everything, their new songs....all amazing. I love their entire album and they were really great live. This performance was one of my favorites, performed with their tour-mates King Charles (love him) and Cadillac Sky. Sadly the video does not even come close to capturing the energy in the venue when this was going on.
